Strange Attack

This happened on June 1, 2007 in Archer Florida. We (my family) was coming home from dinner and we saw what looked like a dead dog on the side of the road, but it didn't have any hair, just like the skin was hanging off and it was just black (the skin).
Suddenly, the thing stood up and started chasing after the Jeep. Now this thing was fast. We were going about 30 and it was keeping up, and I don't know how, but it passed us. It turned and started running at us. Now I'm 21 and I nearly s**t my pants here. It took a lunge like it was jumping at the windshield, but jumped right over the Jeep. I looked out the back to see if I could see it, and it was nowhere on the ground and we didn't hear a thump on the top. So I looked up and it looked like it was flying off.
