Shadow Bedmate
by Josh M.

June 7, 2007, Gilbert, Arizona. In the early morning I was lying in bed ready to fall asleep. I usually sleep facing the window, which points north. I was lying facing the window when I had a strange feeling of something behind me. I rolled over and just froze. I saw a shadow lying in bed next to me! Just a kind of silhouette of a person. Semi-transparent with no features and all black. After what seemed like 30 minutes, but actually couldn't have been more than 30 seconds, I pulled the covers over my head (yes, childish I know, but I couldn't think of what else to do). I lay there and drifted off to sleep.

The next night, I was lying in bed watching The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The TV was the only thing giving off light in my room. Then I saw it again. The shadow figure. Standing behind and to the right of the TV out of the straight light. I stared at it for a good five minutes, waiting for it to make a move. I didn't want to set whatever it was off if I didn't have to. I blinked and it was gone.

I immediately ran out of my room and called my two dogs over. They refused to enter my room. I got back on my computer to tell my friends what just happened. I stayed on my computer in conversation for a at least another half hour. I finally worked up the courage to enter my room. I immediately turned on multiple lights, but saw nothing. I checked the closet and nothing there either. I shut off the lights as i walked back to my bed. I god in and feel asleep after awhile but couldn't shake the feeling that something was still watching me.
