Monster in Montana

On August 8, 2005, my friends and I were walking in my woods in Montana. We were just playing around by saying, "Don't let the Boogie Man get you!" to one of my friends because she is scared of paranormal things.
As we were walking, we stopped because we heard a loud, deathly moan. Then we smelled something that smelled like rotting blood. Finally, we heard a deep, raspy breath coming from behind a clump of trees. We looked and what we saw would make the bravest man tremble with fear. The creature was at least 20 feet tall, with razor sharp teeth and claws. It was holding three deer by their ankles.
We couldn't move. Suddenly, it tossed its head back and roared so loudly that the top of the trees swayed, like they were being played with by the wind. Then we cut loose and ran. As soon as we started running, I stopped an looked back. The creature had moved to where it could see us and it started to shrink down to about six feet tall - and then it vanished!
What did we see that night? Whatever it was, it scared the snot out of me.
