Chupacabra
in Dominican Republic

I am a 14-year-old Dominican boy. One night I was outside watching the stars. It was like 4:30 in the morning. I heard my dog barking. I went to go check what woke him and I saw a terrifying figure biting one of my grandpa's pigs. It turned and pounced on me with incredible speed and force. It shrieked and scratched me. My dog ran for like four seconds. I knew it was a chupacabra. It then jumped high from roof top to roof top on the other houses, and it flew away. When my brother stepped outside to see what was all the noise, I was lying on the ground paralyzed by fear. The creature was a little smaller than I was, but was almost as strong as a bear. The next day, the pig was found drained of almost all of its blood and it was missing its lungs, heart, and liver! This happened in a small village in Dominican Republic named Gwama in June, 2003.
