Prayer

My story goes back to 1974. I was married to a Vietnamese girl and living in Saigon. I had gone to work in Saigon for a U.S. contractor in 1967. However, I lost my job in February 1972 and had been able to live off my savings. By 1974 I finally found myself in a terrible dilemma. I was broke with no job and at this time no money... and to top off everything else, my wife was pregnant. Somehow I just knew that the most important thing I wanted to do was to get my pregnant wife and myself out of the country and get back to the USA, but I had no money.
Later, in a book I read about Edgar Cayce, it said that praying was like asking the question and meditating was like awaiting the answer. So I did this for weeks, always at the same time every morning, at about 2:45 a.m., as I recall. I would simply take myself out of the experience and ask how I could literally help "others" who were in much worse shape than I. It seemed I just knew everything for my personal self and family would work out okay. Finally, one morning while I was meditating (I swear before the Master, God Almighty) a lady appeared in front of me with long, blonde, flowing hair and dressed in a long, old-style robe or gown. Her total body was engrossed in the most beautiful golden light. It was a very stunning sight to behold, for sure.
She asked me simply, "Are you sure this was what you want to do?" I recall very vividly that my response was, "Yes." Then she vanished. Unfortunately, I've never seen her again. It could not have been more than a week and I received a considerable amount of money from a couple of friends. In fact, over $2,500.00. I still shake my head out of disbelief at how this could have occurred, but it did! I decided I would first go to the USA then send for my wife, who, by the way, gave birth to my son on the day I left for the US.
When I arrived in the USA, I found that money didn't go very far and soon I was broke again. This time my brother, Dennis, made arrangements for me to borrow the money from him so I could get my wife and son to the USA. Finally, I just know the "Master" came through when I really needed Him and I'll never forget it. Now I hope I can somehow, finally, help someone else who is in need. I really want to do this. Thank you for allowing me to tell this story.
