Daughter's Doppelganger

We lived in a haunted duplex in Northeast Lincoln, Nebraska from 2002-2005. Not only would I see ghosts, but I saw a doppelganger of my daughter.

One day in 2004 I was in the kitchen and saw her walk by into the living room from the bathroom. I knew it was her because she was only three and had dressed herself in a colorful mismatched outfit. I called out to her, "Katie, did you wash you hands?" and she called from the bathroom, "I'm still on the potty, mom!" Baffled, I asked my older daughter if Kate had just been in the living room with her and she said, "No... she's still in the bathroom."

Then we moved to New York and I have seen not only her doppelganger, but also my husband, all within a few weeks of each other. We had moved here in September. It was December now and we had a few boxes still stacked up in the back room. I was walking to down the hall and saw Katie in the back room trying to walk over a big box to reach something. I called out to her, "Katie, be careful, don't fall on that box." And she called from her bedroom behind me, "What box mom?" I turned around and there she was in the same outfit I had just seen her wearing in the other room.

Later that week, I was on the computer one night. Most the lights were off and the Christmas lights were on. I heard my husband open the bedroom door where he had been reading, then I heard his slippers flop along the floor and saw him out of the corner of my eye standing in the hallway just looking at me. I could even see the reflection of the Christmas lights in his glasses. Then he went around behind me and I turned around to say something... and he wasn't there. I went to the bedroom and he said he hadn't been up in about 20 minutes.

Finally, I was cleaning the bathroom floor on my hands and knees and here came Katie precocious as ever just standing there. I could see a big grin on her face and her big brown eyes out of the corner of my eye. I had such a super-awareness of her. Then I turned to say something to her and she was gone. I called her and she was in the living room playing and said she hadn't gotten up. Even her older sister confirmed she never left that room.
