Shocking
Touch
by Jeff Glynne
I have had a couple of strange encounters with electricity. I am able to turn on and off light switches with wet hands without any form of electrical shock. I can act as a dynamo and build up enough electrical charge to deliver a powerful shock. I tried this on my sister at JCPenney's once and she almost got burned on the neck!
The weirdest thing was during high school, we had an experiment where the class held hands while one person put their hand on a VanDeGraff generator (this machine has a shape similar to a gumball machine or a small weather dome and generates electric charge) and the person at the other end would touch a metal faucet, making a circuit. Normally the teacher said it should jolt everyone a bit, but no one felt it, and the rest of that day I felt like I could outrun my car!
Other weird things: I breathe much better when there is more ozone in the air. I even caused a radiation gauge from my father's workbench to read negative when I put it next to my head and it read positive radioactive charge for everyone else. Also, rechargable batteries sometimes don't charge right for me. Am I crazy or have other people experienced this too?
