Mysterious Camping Animal

It happened on a clear night in Texas. My family an I were camping on the Colorado River and were night fishing. Our car was about 13 yards from our camp ground. I went to the car to retrieve the telescope; it was such a clear night I wanted to look at the stars. When I opened the car door, I heard a weird noise. I looked up and there was a white figure on four legs looking at me! I ran back to my parents and we got the flashlight. As we were looking in the bushes for this thing, we heard the noise again; it was on the opposite side of us. It was a two-foot white figure with black eyes. It had no hair or ears, and its nose was not 3-D like a human's; it was flat. It was just staring at us. The noise it made was some sort of wailing sound, then it ran off. Right then we threw our stuff in the car and drove to the camp owner's office. We told them what we saw. All they told us was that it was probably a mountain lion. We tried to explain, but they told us to leave immediately and not to come back ever again. It was almost like they already knew what the creature was.
