Sensing
the Future
by Darlene
F.
My sister Beth, I'm sure, knew of her impending death. I am Native American and people scoff at us for believing in "funny things," but my beautiful sister was killed in a car accident, by a drunk driver in 1965. Not only was she killed, but also her husband, my nephew, my niece's husband and niece's daughter and a friend. A few weeks before the accident, my sister told my mother, while I was in the room, to not let her in-laws take the boys if anything happened to her and her husband, and then she put on a record of Roy Acuff's "The Wreck on the Highway." My mother tried to reassure her she would take care of the boys, but not to talk that way.
On may 25th, 1965 at about 5:30 in the morning, the town police officer came to our home and notified us the my sister and other family members were killed in an accident about 12:30 a.m. that morning. He advised that a drunk driver came over a hill on the wrong side of the road and hit head on with my sister's vehicle and killed our family members. My sister knew and I knew she was going to die. My other sister and I have have the ability to "sense" some things that are going to happen, but the major thing she and I are afraid of is the ability to make "things" happen. I am 51 years old and she 56 years old, and we both didn't know about our abilities other until a couple of years ago. We both try to keep "our negative thoughts" under control, because if we don't, "bad things happen to people." I keep God close to my heart and try not to have bad feeling for people and pray to God he helps me.
