Belligerent Old Hag
by KB

I have always remembered, since I was quite young, at times feeling as if there were something or someone else around me. Sometimes it's a good or relaxed feeling. I've experienced sadness due to another presence as if something bad has happened or this entity has experienced a loss of some kind.

I was in bed and fell asleep with the television on. I woke up and for what ever reason, perhaps just to have some light in the room I turned the channel to a "blue screen,"' such as the kind you get when you have a VCR or DVD plugged in to the set. I woke up, or thought I did, to the shade behind the television moving as if there were a breeze in the room, and I don't remember seeing the television at that point either. I felt something or someone at the end of the bed. First I felt hands on my feet moving up toward the rest of my body, then I felt the arms, the chest, torso, legs.... as this entity moved up my body I felt it's weight pushing me down onto the bed. I closed my eyes and held my breath. What ever it was covered my entire body and when it was finally completely on top of me, it "fell" or relaxed itself and pushed whatever air I had left in my lungs out of me, which made me groan. I guess that's the way to explain it, like the sound you make when you get the wind knocked out of you. I didn't open my eye's for along time and when I would breath, I would try to do so as to hardly move. I don't know how long it was before I finally moved. And when I did it was to the other side of the bed, onto my side with my arms wrapped tightly around a pillow.

The next day, I was a t my neighbors house visiting. I ended up telling them about my experience and one of them went and brought me a book. It was actually a spirit and hauntings dictionary, and he had it opened to "the old hag" theory. I had to admit, that besides the fact I didn't see any glowing red eyes, it sounded exactly like what I had experienced.

A year or so after that, I bought a house and moved, though only about 5-6 blocks away. One night I had a dream that my house was empty on the first floor, except for some plants near the liv.rm window. I walked through the living room and when I got to the dining room, there was an elderly woman sitting on a simple wooden chair next to the window, but facing a wall. She looked at me and told me to leave. I believe I told her to leave. She got up and pushed me to the floor and grabbed me by my overall straps and started to drag me towards the front door. I woke up. After that dream I started to feel a presence in the house, and it was there nearly all of the time. Finally one night, after being out with friends - it was pretty late - I opened the front door and felt someone standing there and knew they didn't want me to come in. I called my dog to let her out to do her business and she hesitated before coming out. But I coaxed her out, and she hurried passed me. I then held the door open, looked into the doorway and told whatever or whoever was in my house to get the hell out. This was my house and I wanted what ever it was, out right then and there and it was never welcome there again and that was final! After a few minutes of rambling and swearing, I felt something pass by me (exiting my house) and I never felt anything in that house again.
