Grim Reaper Visits

When I was younger, there were a lot of creepy things that I couldn't account for. First off, I don't want to sound like a total whack-job, and that's what a lot of people think when I have told them my experiences. But what has happened is real enough for me to consider them to really have happened.
I lived in a really small house. The house was... strange. Not creepy, just... there was something not right about the place. When I was young, maybe about 12, I was doing my homework on my bed with my back turned to the door. For some reason, I looked behind me and saw this black-cloaked figured pointing at me. It looked like a grim reaper, except I couldn't see his face. I could just see his bony pointed finger. I did a double take to see what I thought I saw standing there, and the thing was still there.
It seems ever since that first encounter, there's something following me - like a negative energy or something.
