Money from
Great Grandma

After reading your stories about Money from Heaven, I was reminded of something that happened to my daughter several years ago. She was around six years old when her great grandmother passed away. They were pretty close and Hallie (her great grandmother) thought Chantel (my daughter) was wonderful! My daughter was born within a few days of Hallie's birthday and she looked like Hallie in younger days. Hallie would always give my kids birthday cards and since she was in her 80s she would give them money in the cards rather than shop for them. At the time, I was a stay at home mom and the money was always welcome and immediately spend on gifts for my children. I would never have left the money in a card and forgot about it as money was tight then.
Several months
after Hallie passed away, my daughter had a friend over and she was of course
showing her friend
all kinds of stuff. She went into our office and found a birthday card Hallie
had given her the previous year to show to her friend. My daughter came to me
and said, "Look, mom, I found $10 in this card!" I was amazed because
I just don't think I could have left that money in there for almost a year!
Another weird thing about it is my daughter found the money in January which
is the month she was born in. It wasn't her actual birthday but the same month
- maybe that is just a coincidence? MAYBE. I still think it was Hallie telling
Chantel happy birthday just one more time!
