Triangular
UFO
by Richard Wells
In San Antonio, Texas one Sunday night, about 1983-85, I was leaving work at about 11:00 p.m. and I came to a stop at the intersection of W.W White road and Rigsby Ave. As I looked out my driver's door window, south down W.W White road, I noticed a bright, intense white light further down the road about three miles away. The glare of the light seemed so that it was pointed in my direction. It seemed like it was a light mounted on a tower of some sort, but it seemed to be in the approximate location where the road curves in a different direction and turns into Military Drive. Approximatley 3 miles down.
As I was stopped at the intersection, I was thinking about the drive to work along the same path during the day and I know if there was a tower there I would have noticed it as I drove that route to work all the time, and in that area there was nothing along the roads but fields and high-voltage power line towers.
As I turned left and drove toward the light, I was thinking that maybe I missed a new tower that was built along the road, but as I drove closer and started looking for the structure below the light, I could not see one. As I came upon the light, it seemed to be about 300 feet in the air. Then I could see the object in the air. It was approximately 1/8 of a mile off the roadway inside the loop of the roadway and above a field where high-voltage power lines are crossing. As I drove past the piont where the glare of the light was not obstructing my view, I pulled the car over and stepped out of my car to get a better look behind it.
WOW! It was
a clear night with stars all around and I could see a craft of some sort, triangluar
in shape, with rounded edges. Mostly the shape of the a space shuttle if you
looked at it from underneath. I could even make out some detail on the hull,
like panels - not a totaly smooth hull underneath and with steady blue and green
lights,
one on each apex of the triangle.
What was strange was that it was such an intense bright white light coming off the piont of the craft pointing downroad. There was like a round haze around the light as if the light were shining through a shower of water wapor. As stated, it was a clear night and I was the only person, to my knowledge, on that road at that time in that area. No traffic. As I stood and watched the craft, I noticed there was no sound at all. I turned off my engine. After about a minute, I decided I was a little scared, so I drove up the highway; I thought I could get a better view from a street higher on a hill about a 1/4 mile away.
Well, of course, it was gone when I reached the street that overlooked the area. It was there, I was there.
