Mum's Goodbye
by Mel

My story began the night my mum died, 14th Aug 1994. I was haveing an affair at the time, but to get home back to where I live, I have to drive past my mum's house in which I grew up. It was 2.15 a.m. in the middle of the night as we drove past mum's house. I noticed that my mum's bedroom light was on and she's never up at that time she's normally tucked up in her bed. I wanted to stop, but the bloke I was with said we must get home to our partners, as we were married at the time. So he dropped me back off home and I went for a bath and then bed.

My husband said the next day that I had a really wierd dream that night. He said I woke up and sat bolt up right in the bed and I turned my head to face the corner of the room and spoke as if I was having a conversation with my mum. He said I then said in a soft voice, "Okay, I love you too, mum," blew a kiss, laid back down and went to sleep. He said he noticed that the time was 5.03 a.m.

As I was putting the meat in the oven for the Sunday roast, there was a knock at the door. My husband went and answered it and there were the police. They said my mum was found dead in her apartment. The autopsy report said she died around fivish in the night of a massive heart attack. She had worked all her life, retired and died without enjoying her retirement.

Years later, I went to see a tarot reader and as I entered the room, she said that she had a message for me, that "you blame yourself for not saying goodbye to your mum. Well, let me tell you, YOU DID SAY GOODBYE TO HER. If you remember, she did come and visit you and you told her you loved her, but you will not remember as she says she visited you while you were sleeping."

So I do believe in ghosts as I have had first-hand experience.
