Chupacabras in Florida

In 1999 my friend and I were gonna camp in our yard. We had planned on sleeping in the back of my father's truck. I was sitting on the tailgate waiting for my friend when I saw this thing running across the driveway. It stopped right in the middle. At first I couldn't move. I was scared shirtless. Its eyes were a bright green, but once it looked at me, its eyes turned bright red. It turned and ran... well, kinda a mixture of running and hopping.

I jumped down and ran inside, scared it was gonna attack me. I hadn't ever seen anything like it before. From what I could see, it was no taller than three or four feet tall. It stood on its back legs and was fast. It had small spikes going down its spine. I didn't see a nose or a mouth. One of the reasons why I was scared, besides its eyes, it had small arms folded at the elbows (kinda like a rabbit); they didn't seem to fit its body; they were too small.

I never saw it again after that, and didn't hear anything about it until 2001 on the Discovery Channel. That's when I figured it was after my dogs in the cage across the driveway where it was heading until it saw me. My boyfriend and his friend saw something like what I saw in 2001 across town a year before we met. From what they said, it looked like it looked the same, just taller. It's either the same one and it grew bigger or LaBelle, Florida has its own pack of Chupacabras.
