Las Vegas Ghost
by HotRodSees

From February 14, 2007 to February 20, 2007 I had been in Las Vegas. I had come up to do the NBA All Star Off-site events. Everything went fine the entire time I was there. When I arrived, I stayed at the Tropicana Hotel. I was on the 64th floor. I loved the decor of the hotel and its rich history. I checked out of the hotel on February 16th and moved to Bally's for a couple of days with plans to return to the hotel on Sunday after all my events were completed.

Upon check-in I was given a room in the Paradise Towers. When I walked into the room, it felt like "heat" and it was hot in Las Vegas that week. I noticed that items were not in the hotel room that should be. But the hotel had them brought up to our room. I called the front desk to say the air did not work. The engineer came up and fixed it right away.

I had two of my girlfriends stay in the room with me. They checked out on Monday the 19th in all the airport craziness. I remember being very tired, so I went to sleep while the girls were out getting gifts to take home. I kept feeling like somebody was watching me while I was trying to sleep, but nobody was in the room but me.

The girls finally left, and it would be my first night and only night in the hotel room alone. My friend was staying at another hotel and his flight left at 9:30 a.m. the next morning. But due to the back-up at the airport, I told him I would wake up early and call his hotel room. I sat the alarm clock prior to going to sleep. But something awoke me before the alarm went off.

It was dark in the room, but my eyes had totally adjusted. I looked up and thought I was about to be robbed, raped or murdered. I called out to this man I saw who had his back to me. I didn't know what he was looking at or for, but I was scared. I yelled at him again and said I was calling security! I remember thinking, "Please don't kill me."

I yelled and then he began to turn around. As he turned around, I reached for the light switch on the lamp next to the bed. When the lights came on... nobody was there! I was so scared I could not go back to sleep. I got up and opened the draperies and sat up in a chair. We finally figured out that the ghost was looking into the mirror. There was nothing else he could have been looking at.

That experience garnered Tropicana to give me an additional room night as my friend had missed his flight. He stayed in the room that night. He said all kind of strange things were going on in that room. He stayed up all night until his flight. Tropicana knows the hotel is haunted and refuses to admit it. However, an employee thought I saw the ghost in a hallway! That means somebody is seeing things.
