Vision of
the Past

I live in a rural area of West Tennessee where there are a lot of beautiful old churches and school houses to take pictures of. One day my husband, myself and our three-year-old son were looking through the window of a 100-year-old school house when our son said something that to this day gives us chills. Looking through the window with his eyes fixated on one particular spot, in a very serious voice he said, "That's where that man hurt that woman." My husband and I obviously very startled, asked him several times to repeat what he said and every time he said the same thing. Keep in mind that he was only three, and his life experiences nor his vocabulary should have allowed him to tell us what he did. We were never able to confirm that anything ever happened there, but I'm not sure I want to know - especially if it's true. It's been five years since that happened and he has no recollection of it occurring, but every time his father and I drive past that old place we still get chills.
