Weird Veil

I picked up my nephew and a friend of his and took them to a friend of mine's house. This was in the evening and was quite dark out. I didn't see the friend for awhile. My nephew and this friend decided to stay outside while I went in to see my friend. We heard some noises outside - like people moving around through the neighbors' yards, moving things and disturbing animals. I called them in to see what was going on. They stood in a lit room side by side I couldn't stop looking at this friend of my nephew. I couldn't believe my eyes. The boy, who was about 11 years old, stood there and I saw what appeared to be a shadowed veil covering him. He seemed to move independently underneath it. This veil had features. I couldn't tell if they were the same as the boy's as I was kinda shocked at seeing this. I asked my friend if he saw it and all he said was he did not want the person in his house again. My nephew was telling me his name and that he was a very good friend. I said the boy was not his friend at all. I felt he was a negative influence. Has anyone else seen anything like this and if so what was it?
