Morphing UFO
by Becky G.

I was staying at my father's farm in Northeastern Montana in the summer of 1987 or 1988. I was about 35 years old. My dad and my son were off somewhere, probably in town, and I was weeding in the garden. It was bright and sunny without a cloud in the sky. My back started bothering me, so I stood up to stretch. About a quarter mile away, maybe 200 feet up in the air, I saw a huge gray spaceship, shaped like a long oval, parallel to the earth. My mouth dropped and I said, "Well I'll be go to hell," but about the time I got the words "go to hell" out, the thing changed. It was the same color and shape, but now the edges were fluffy and it looked just like a huge cloud. Well, I didn't believe that, so I jumped on my bike and raced down the road to get a closer look. The road runs alongside the railroad tracks, and I had a choice of going east or west to one of the crossings. The east crossing would get me right underneath the thing, and I wanted to come up on it from the side, so I took off for the west crossing. The ship, or cloud, or whatever it was, must have been three miles long. So I'm peddling madly for the crossing, when the damn thing starts to shrink. Within minutes it was half the size it was, so I turned around to go back to the east crossing. A few moments later, it was just a wisp of cloud high in the sky, and then it disappeared. I still don't know if I believe in UFOs, but I do believe we're not the only intelligent (?) life in the universe. One question: Why is it all the UFO sightings are at night of moving lights? I've never heard a story like mine.
