Almost Possessed?
by Michael K.

Last year, I had an extremely strange experience after reviewing material at a website I found (www.wingmakers.com) and have been actively involved with trying to find out exactly what DID happen that one night. I haven't yet found my answer, but as I mentioned, as synchronicity turns out - quite LITERALLY, today, to the very exact DAY, is the one-year anniversary of this strange event. It went like this, although I will have to leave some details out because of length.

I had come home from work and was sitting on the couch with my girlfriend watching television ("Crossing Over with John Edward," to be exact). At that time, I happened to be going through some doubt about my faith and what I was 'trying' to believe in, and unconsciously adopted a negative attitude that evening, and even went as far as barking at some lady on TV about how stupid she was, comparing a reading from John Edward to an out of body experience. I said, "Oh, how ridiculous! What an idiot - an OBE IS what it implies - being OUT OF BODY - not sitting there on your butt listening to some guy read your mind and tell you about your long-lost relatives!"

Literally moments after I closed my mouth, I began to slip into a state of altered consciousness, very similar to a psychedelic trip or being REALLY high on marijuana, perhaps. My girlfriend was still sitting beside me, but I didn't mention this feeling to her yet. It came on rather quickly, and honestly I wasn't quite sure what to think at first. But then it got much more intense, and then all of a sudden, my left foot and toes started to get really tight, as if I was using ALL of my strength to make a muscle in my foot - but I was not controlling this tightening. That's when I started to get a little worried - because I have had muscle spasms and really bad knots, but never anything like this. And to make things worse, it started in my right foot too, and slowly continued up to both legs.

By that time, my girlfriend noticed that I wasn't paying attention to the TV and was trying to hold my legs in one place, because by then both my legs began to sort of seize up and crunch inward towards my body. She asked me what was wrong, and I told her I didn't know, but I think something is wrong. She didn't understand at first, and I tried to tell her basically what had just happened, but it was getting much worse already. My legs were shaking and the muscles were so constricted that there wasn't anything that I could do and it then also started to go into my arms and hands.

The altered state of consciousness was still there, and was probably also enhanced by my quickened breathing and adrenaline rush, but it was definitely more than just a physical reaction somewhere within. I knew it was not something "normal" by a physician's standards, yet I was so very afraid that there was something neurologically wrong in my brain that was short-circuiting my system somehow.

In the meantime, my girlfriend helped me by pulling my legs up on the couch and on top of her lap, trying to hold them still. But every time she would hold my legs still, something else would burst forth with some kind of energy that was in complete control of my muscles and seemingly nervous system. Even my face, at this time, was BUZZING with this energy, and I couldn't really move it. All I could do is keep my lips open barely enough to breath steadily. We both thought that I might have been going through some kind of nervous breakdown or something, and figured that trying to relax was the best way to stop it.

For the next two hours, it was going through this, stumbling over to the bed to stretch my body (which didn't work the first time) back to the couch - same thing. Nothing seemed to help at all, and I was really getting worried, because even though at some points in time the influx of energy seemed to subside enough for me to catch my breath, it never stopped, and I was REALLY getting tired. Physically, emotionally, and perhaps even spiritually...?

The last time we tried the bed, it got much worse as soon as I got there, and the entire thing was shaking. She looked really worried and didn't know what to do, and I was really out of ideas and had even cried too much to cry any more about the situation. The only thing I didn't want to do was call 911 or anything like that. No way, because then I would just find out that I had two months to live or something, so my only other recourse, which I had thought of and brought up a few times during the experience, was that perhaps this energy was some sort of entity trying to communicate with me, through my own bodily "devices."

I don't think either of us took the idea too seriously at first, or maybe we felt too stupid to do anything about it, but I was at the point where I really didn't know what else to do, and so in the midst of my "seizure" I declared loudly, "IF THIS IS SOMEONE ELSE DOING THIS, PLEASE STOP IT NOW!'

And it STOPPED. Immediately!

Apparently, all I had to do was to acknowledge WHAT this energy was (or was it just being nice when I asked?) and it stopped. After going hysterical with my girlfriend for a minute or two, FEELING the presence of SOMETHING or SOMEONE, I asked if it was still there. Before I had a chance to get the last word out, the energy suddenly rushed back into my body, and I had tremendous waves of shakes again, just like before, although it was MUCH less scary this time around.

Since this encounter, I have had similar experiences and still have this energy noticeably flowing (at a much lower level, however) in as small, but consistent pulses - and quite often sharp muscle spasms when speaking, watching, reading, or writing something important (or related!) - just like this e-mail. Almost the entire time I have had this really steady muscle spasm in my left upper leg (about three inches above my knee). That usually means I am supposed to BE where I am, or DOING what I am doing.

At least that's how I've come to interpret it.
