Past Life and OBE?

One night I was having a dream that I was at this large Southern plantation. I was a slave. At the top of the stairs of this mansion was my friend Mike. Rifle in hand, I fired at him, and hit him in the chest. He fell, and returned fire. I then saw myself from the third person, as I ran into the woods in the rain.

I slowly drifted from this dream into a semi-awake state. I had been trying to have an out-of-body experience for some time, and was thinking I'd possibly be able to have one now. I could now hear the rain outside against the window, as it had sounded at the end of my dream. I was sleeping on my stomach in bed. All of a sudden, I felt hands on the left side of my body push and flip me over and out of my body so that I was floating next to my bed facing the ceiling. I was ecstatic, but unfortunately couldn't move. I sank to the floor, and the head of my astral body was inside a desk next to my bed. I was still able to hear the rain and everything but I couldn't move at all. I got scared, as I felt more and more trapped, and soon ended up awake, on my stomach, in my body. I experienced numbness and tingling in various parts of my body, apparently as my astral body reintegrated with my physical.

I don't know what it was that got me out of my body that morning, but nothing quite like it has happened since. What sticks most in my mind is the dream that preceded it. Was it a peek at a past life? I don't know, but I'm still trying to have another out-of-body experience as I find them increasingly compelling.
