Creature By the Pool

This happened to me about two years ago. Although the incident is crystal clear to me and I see it perfect in my head, it is hard for me to explain what I saw that night.

I was in my backyard. I was the young age of 12 and had two friends of staying the night. We were enjoy a nice swim. It was either 11 or 12 p.m. and we had a great time until we noticed something watching us. I had three dogs in my backyard, all very noisy when somebody we dont know is near. Strangly enough, they were DEAD quiet, but I do remember seeing them all looking in a direction. I have a little wooden house in my backyard that covers the pool pumps and storage, etc. It's about nine feet high, I would guess.

On top of it we saw a shadowy figure; my friend picked it out first. An image of bright yellow-colored eyes as it watched us. We looked over at it, and it just sat there on all fours. It was a stare-down until my friend pointed directly at it. Then in an amazing leap it jumped off the 9-foot building and didn't even stop on the fall. It moved on all fours amazingly fast and had something that dragged behind it.

It ran toward the exit of my fence, but surprisingly made no noise at all. Our eyes follow it until my house cut it off... it was gone. It must have jumped the fence as there was no noise of the fence opening and it was closed when we examined it later. I still have no idea what it was, but I know that it was watching us and I will never forget the experience.
