The Exorcism

Our spiritual study group met regularly once a week at various members' homes. There were about eight of us who were into these serious studies, but occasionally we'd have an additional visitor or two. It was my turn to host the meeting and we held in in the lower basement level of the building that was our combined home and business location. Because it housed a business, building code required we have solid core fire doors separating each level and they were equipped with heavy duty self-closing devices. It took some muscle to open and close those doors.

We had a guest this night. We went into meditation after our normal teaching session. During meditation we would attempt to "pick up" info on the people in attendance. I shut off the lights and we settled into our meditation period when the temperature in the room began to drop dramatically. I looked over at our visitor... and suspended over her head was the image of a wild boar with flaming red eyes glaring viciously around the room.

It was our habit to share the info we picked up on others during meditation, so I spoke of and described what I saw. The visitor responded, "Yes, that's my friend." And then all hell broke loose. Not only was it cold, but we all began to feel actual pressure on our bodies, as if a heavy weight were compressing us and making it difficult to breath. One woman in attendance went into hysterics.

I instructed everyone to join hands and begin to repeat "The Lord's Prayer" aloud. They did not hesitate, and as we repeated it, we did it with increasing volume and conviction, which began to lighten the heavy atmosphere pressing on us. I jumped up to turn on the light, and immediately two of our folks started up the stairway... only to back down again in fright. They said that the heavy fire door at the top of the steps opened and closed by itself. We were the only people in the building. It was not anyone of us.

That was the demise of that study group. People left in fear... and I never heard from the hysterical woman again. I did hear, however, that the visitor's health improved dramatically after that.
