UFO
Over Central Massachusetts

Let me start by saying I am a skeptic on anything, and I mean anything that smacks of the paranormal. And especially a major skeptic of the variety that I am going to tell you about that I witnessed a few days ago. I can hardly believe this stuff myself.
It was about midnight on April 12, 2006 (technically the 13th as it was just past midnight). I had just had a rather loud screaming row with the wife and needed to take a walk to cool off. I live on a country lane in central Massachusetts just 15 miles outside Worcester. I was walking down the dark hilly street muttering to myself, cooling my heels when I looked up between the line of tall barren trees... and there was what looked like a series of lights hazily strobing front to back in orange and green on some kind of aircraft flying wildly. I blinked a few times as I thought it was a Goodyear blimp or something (seeming quite odd for rural Massachusetts) and looked back up at it.
It was moving in a teeter-tottering fashion with its small lights in a row (possibly six or more to a row) flashing back to front quickly. I stopped dead in my tracks and just stared at it as it teeter-totteringly lowered itself beyond a grove of pine trees and barren birch trees in the woods about a half mile away. Suddenly, a quick boom of orange light came up through the woods then went out. I knew in an instant what I had been watching there. I stood breathless in the chilly air shaking my head a few times trying to catch my bearing about this.
Now I am not a man who believes in this sort of thing at all. I've seen all that Fox/Discovery channel b.s. and really I see it as impossible that we have had any visitors from another solar system. I'm not even sure it was alien, but this enormous object was indeed very much silent as reported and very large, perhaps 30-50 yards across or more and blinking like it had some kind of fiber optics light strobe effects on it. It hovered in a way I have never seen any aircraft do, including blimps, like a teeter-totter effect back and forth as it then landed or hovered low.
I stood there in the cold at the top of the hill in the dark and watched on for twenty minutes or so, getting a bit impatient at it not coming back up. So I decided to walk up another adjacent street that had a large hill where I could look down over where it had landed. I walked up the hill and upon reaching the top I looked through the trees and it was rising taking off again at an angle (damn near a 45). Now how it rose was the weirdest thing for any aircraft. It was round (which I wasn't sure of before) and its bottom was lurching sideways, like it was being used to look into a home down below that had its lights on from about a 150 yards away.
I watched in amazement as this weirdly very large craft then began to straighten up slowly and as before silently floated off (best way to describe it) over the trees with its back to front lights going blinkingly fast as I just watched on. Something about it sent a weird shiver down my spine as I felt the urge to just get the hell out of there and I walked rather briskly back down the hill to my house again. I could still see it floating slowly away as it went out of sight to the south east. I went in the dark house and looked at the clock on the stove which read exactly 12:44 a.m.
The next day at around 12 noon mid-day, I noticed the sound of helicopters above in the skies outside (also weird for rural Massachusetts). I went out and there was a quite recognizable red-orange Coast Guard chopper hovering and going down over where the craft had landed in the wooded area. I stood out front and watched it and then a second Coast Guard chopper came over the wooded site. It landed and then came out about an hour or so later hauling nothing as far, as I could tell, but there was some activity in that area that whole hour or so.
Now I don't know at all what I saw that night and still cannot explain it at all as to what it was, but it was a strangely flying (floating) object with multiple rows of lights quickly blinking back to front in green and orange. I have always had the question in my mind as to: if there are these things, why don't I ever see one – well guess what? This lifelong well-educated skeptic just saw one! I swear on a stack of Bibles that what I saw was something real. I never believed in this kind of thing ever before, but it is definitely a very real phenomenon to me now. I don't think I'll ever doubt such claims again. This phenomenon is quite factual.
