Lucid
Dream of 1700s France
by Alethea
I am 32 and live in Houston. About three years ago I had the most vivid, detailed and exacting dream that one could possibly experience or imagine. Usually, as you know, dreams are lost to us in an instant, once we begin to consciously think about them. This dream, however, was not to be the case. Rather than it fleeting away, it was seared into my mind. I could smell the scents in it, feel fabrics and objects. I knew every color and minute detail. I thought it odd, of course, but dismissed it after I got past my bewilderment. However, that night was only the beginning of many nights to come that would tell me an epic tale of love, murder, sorrow and peace. Each night for, I believe, it was about 10 or so days, the dream picked up where it had left off the night before. It told me an entire story, from beginning to end. Well, at least the beginning was the beginning shown to me. The end is the end for a few souls, but I don't believe it to be entirely over.
Everything is so clear, and I am 98 percent certain that it is real and true. The biggest problem in my determining the validity of it is the missing of names. I see faces, places, you name it, but I only have a nickname of one person, a woman. I have exhausted myself with research over the Internet, searching for a small inkling of help, but as of yet have not come across any evidence. Of course, another problem is that it is in 1700s France. During the French Revolution is what I see. I haven't "thrown in the towel" just yet, and more likely than not, never will. I want so much to tell the story to others, besides my friends, and get some insight, and if I am lucky, some clues to identities.
