Thunderbird Sighting?
by PhiLLyZPuNkEsT

After reading your article about the Thunderbird, I had to share a story that occurred this summer. I work at a daycare, and on this particular August day, two coworkers and I were walking the kids through PennyPack Park (in Northeast Philadelphia, Pa.) when I peered over and saw the largest bird I have ever seen in my life. It was just sitting along the side of the lake and it spread its wings. I would say its wingspan was at least 10 feet. I looked at everyone else and they were just as amazed as I was. We bumped into a Park Ranger a little bit later and he said he had no clue what type of bird we had seen. Almost every detail described on your site fit the bird I saw except the color; this bird appeared to be more along the lines of a bluish green.
