Visitor
in the Night

I was about seven months pregnant and sleeping in bed. I was having a dream and was woken up by my covers being lifted off of me to my right. As this was happening I noticed that I could not move at all. I couldn't speak and I felt a male presence. It didn't feel like a friendly presence and I couldn't make out a face. Then it disappeared and I went back to bed. I thought that maybe I just woke up and had sleep paralysis and imagined the whole thing. I didn't sleep well after that partly because that baby was keeping me awake. I was wide awake when I felt the presence again. It pressed on my bedding on each side of my legs. It felt as if someone was kneeling over me and then I felt my shoulders pinned down and again I could not move or speak. I was trying to scream but all I could get out was pushing air. I was so scared because this time I knew I was not dreaming. I said in the name of Jesus please leave but it came back one more time that night. I couldn't sleep well for a month after this night. It has not visited me since. I did see a show on dateline or some TV show about this. The said that it is very common and blamed it on sleep paralysis. I would love to believe this but I KNOW it wasn't. Which is very very scary still.
