Apparitions and Medicine Cards

A few years back, I lost my father from lung cancer. I was devastated, especially as a few months before I had felt compelled to use some Tarot cards and obtained an all-too-true reading estimating that my father only had 18 months left. Not long after my father had an operation to remove a lung, but the tumor had spread too far. Over the next few months, my father had radiotherapy treatment, but gradually became bed-bound and had a stroke from secondary brain tumor. He then seemed to recover somewhat, but died the following June, 18 months after the reading (I obviously hadn't said anything to him).
A few weeks later, about 8 p.m. one night, I again felt compelled to do another reading - this time with a pack of Medicine Cards said to based on the Amerindian traditions. I chose a butterfly for one card and I think a lynx for the other, both found in Europe as well as N. America. As I looked at them and read the associated stories, I felt an overwhelming peace come over me and soon fell asleep.
After sleeping for two to three hours, I awoke at about 3 a.m. to the sound of two people gently calling my name. I was lying on my right hand side and the butterfly card was on the bedside table facing me. There in front of me I could see a robed man with what appeared to be a surgical hat on his head, the type surgeons use and sometimes patients also are given. This one, however, was glowing softly with a golden light. He bent over me and I heard him say, "Bless you, son. Everything's alright now." I then became aware of a presence to my left and turning saw the bedside clock, and a young woman standing beside me. She also spoke saying, "Bless you. Sleep now." Both figures slowly faded, leaving me with a sense of peace and love.
I knew I was awake as I looked around the room and saw the cards where I had placed them. I was now feeling so peaceful that after about 5 minutes. I fell into the best sleep I had had for years, feeling sure that my father and a healing spirit had answered my prayer. It was something I shall never forget.
