Haunted Hotel Room
by Ronan

My wife and I were heading home after visiting my mother in South Central Arkansas. We decided to stop for the night. We picked a hotel and went through the check-in process. My uncle was, by fate, staying in the same hotel on a business trip. We found our room, and my wife decided to take a bubble bath before we headed off to bed. She went into the bathroom, turned on the light, ran her water and got in the tub. I decided to go see my uncle who was only six doors down from us.

I left the room and got about half way there when my wife started screaming at the top of her lungs. And believe me, I heard it. I ran back to the room, unlocked the door and ran to find my wife still in the tub. The bathroom light was off. I turned it back on and asked her if she was okay. She told me she heard the whisper of a man and lights went out, so she started screaming.

Not knowing how to respond to this, I stayed in the bathroom with her until she finished her bath. It didn't take her long. I still wanted to go spend a few minutes with my uncle. So we did. After reentering our room, my wife got dressed for bed. I took my shower and we hit the sack.

About 20 minutes later, the phone rang. There was no one there. I got up and went to the bathroom to wash my face because I was getting a little wary at this point. There was light knock on the door. I asked my wife to get it because I figured it was my uncle. There was no one there. My wife freaked out. I went into the hallway to see if I could see someone down at the end who maybe had knocked on the wrong room. I checked to the right of me first. No one. Then I looked left. And there he was. It was gentleman in a dark blue suit, with an odd hat on. He dropped his cane to the ground, tipped his hat and then disappeared.

We didn't have any more problems that night, but we were not sleeping anyway. Would you?
