Shh,
Said the Ghost
by Joann
About three years ago, I was living with my best friend and her family in Arizona. They lived in a house and I always felt like there was something or someone's presence in that house. One evening my best friend and I went to the grocery store to buy a few things to make for supper. When we arrived, we would always enter through the door that would lead you to a studio, just like a little apartment, and then another door would lead you to the kitchen.
We opened the door and we saw a woman standing there, hunched over as if she was eavesdropping on someone's conversation. She had her head leaning against the door, and she turned to us and put her hand and finger up against her lips and whispered, "Shh!" to us. We thought it was my best friend's mother, so I walked up to her with out any fear and as I opened the door she disappeared.
My best friend and I looked at each other and we were pale with fright. She said to me, "Don't tell my mom or uncle what we just saw." And I never have. To this day, we think about it and we just freak out a little. I know this was a lost spirit. We could tell she was friendly and not a mean soul.
