I have had many unexplained happenings in the past few years, none of which are like this one. About five years ago, I started dating my boyfriend. I went to visit him at his aunt's house one December a few weeks before Christmas. They had turned the basement into an apartment with a bedroom, a laundry room and a kitchen. I was there alone one night (because he works the night shift) I had been watching TV in bed and it was nearly 1 am. I turned off the television and started to get comfortable in bed.
I know I wasn't asleep yet because I turned the TV back on when I saw a man holding a book walk down the basement stairs and into the laundry room. He didn't notice me, and I was too shocked to say anything to him. He was kind of blue tinted and see-through. I could make out the colors of his clothes pretty well. He was wearing tan pants, a yellow shirt and a pink sweater vest. I didn't tell anyone about him because I figured it didn't happen.
The next night, however, the same thing occurred. I didn't feel threatened by him, just calm and relaxed. When my boyfriend returned the next morning, we were having breakfast in the dining room and on the mantle behind a vase was a picture of the man I saw the previous night. I questioned who he is. I was told that he was my boyfriend's uncle who died in the house in December of 1992, seven years before we met. I wasn't surprised to hear he had died in the house; I wanted to know more about him, like why he was in the basement and if he liked to read. I was told that he had an office set up in the basement and that he was always down there. And when the lighting wasn't good enough to read by in the office, he would take his book into the kitchen.
