Psychic Plea for Help

This happened during my senior year of high school. I was very close with my small group of friends, and we helped each other through some very rough times. My friend Brad was involved in a very unhealthy relationship at the time. He was never one to be completely mentally stable, so we rallied around him to help him through.
I had a rather large fish aquarium in my room, so it put off a lot of light during the night. On this particular night I had fallen asleep fairly early. At around 11:30 p.m. I awoke to the sound of weeping in my room. I opened my eyes and rolled over not sure of what to expect. When I looked, Brad was sitting against my dresser with his knees bent up against his chest. I remember speaking his name in confusion, wondering how he got in there and what exactly he was doing on my bedroom floor.
When I spoke his name, he looked directly at me and said, "I love you. Please help me. I need help so bad." At that he was gone. I tried to call him but there was no answer. Chalking this experience up to a dream I went back to sleep.
The next morning when I arrived at school, Brad was not present. Later that day, it was relayed to us that Brad had attempted to take his life the night before by slicing his wrists with broken glass. Luckily, he was found and taken to the ER. When I finally got to see him, I told him the story of seeing him in my room. He told me that it was around 11:30 when he attempted suicide, and that he was crying and thinking of me. I never really understood what happened that night. Could his feelings of pain and helplessness have projected to me?
