Heed the Warnings
by Stephanie T.

Last fall, I was in a minor car accident on my way to school. This is something almost any one might go through at any given time, without being able to stop it. I, however, did get the chance to prevent what happened, but I didn't take it. That morning, I woke up from a dream I was having where, as I was backing out of my driveway at home a car hit me head on. I thought nothing much of it, and got ready for school. On my way to school, I was honked at twice by two different cars as I was approaching the campus. That never happens to me, no cars had ever honked at me before, and I see it now as a warning to be careful. When I was ready to turn into my school's parking lot entrance, a truck rear-ended me. I was okay, and so was the other driver. My car was not damaged severely, but I couldn't believe that the exact opposite of what I had dreamt had happened to me.

I learned from this experience to listen more to my intuition. Had I taken the dream seriously and driven more carefully and been more aware of my surroundings, maybe I could have prevented the whole thing. I have premonitions all the time, but I don't consider myself psychic. A lot of what I have had premonitions about have come true, so I believe I have a good intuition that I need to pay more attention to. I'm 20 years old, and I have had premonitions about things several times and they have come true. For example, I once dreamt that one of my aunts called to tell us that our uncle had died. About one month later, he actually did die, and she notified us over the phone. Also, whenever I would leave home in the mornings, I would tell my cat bye and pet him. One morning, in a rush, I didn't do that. In the car on the way to school, I told my mom, "I feel bad because I didn't tell Peanut bye, and what if he's not there anymore when I get home." Oddly enough, when I got home, my cat was gone. He just left, or was taken. But we didn't see him ever again. These are just a few things that have happened. It sounds strange but this stuff has actually happened to me.
