The
Wonder Child

My daughter, who is almost four, began seeing spirits about two years ago. Since her first sighting, and as her vocabulary has grown, she has become more comfortable with telling me all about them. The most distinct one was when myself, husband, sister, son, and daughter were walking through a supermarket. All of a sudden she asked me if I saw "him." I asked her who and she said, "That boy, there. Him's daddy hurt him bad." I later found out that my mother (who's a mortician) had received a little boy who's daddy had abused him to death.
Another one of her "visions" was when we had gone to visit my mother at her work. We were in the embalming room, and there was no one else there but myself, daughter and mother. (No bodies, either) My daughter started asking my mother where the baby was - the baby with the owie on his head while she was tapping on the right side of her head. My mom told me she hadn't done any babies that day. My daughter grew more insistent and told my mother that "Grandma needed to fix the baby." Shortly after, my daughter and I left to go home. When we got home I had a message to call my mother at work. That was when I found out she had just received a baby that had died from a brain aneurysm on the right side of his head.
The last story was about seven months ago. Myself, daughter, and two sisters were sitting in their living room, gabbing when my mother called. As soon as the phone rang, my daughter started saying she needed to talk to grandma. After about three minutes, I was finally able to put her on. While on the phone with my mother, my daughter kept saying, "Where's the baby, Grandma? The baby with the owie right here," while grabbing her stomach. She became very insistent about the "baby" and that Grandma needed to fix her. When I was finally able to talk to my mother, she asked me where my daughter was saying the owie was. I told her the stomach, and that was when I found out my mother had received a baby who had passed away from sepsis, which started in her stomach.
