The Tram Road
Light

I grew up hearing about the Tram Light, in Nakina, NC. I had the opportunity to actually see the Tram Light when I lived out on Tram Rd. When you are driving down the road, you can see the light down the road, and if you stop and flash your headlights at it, sometimes it will chase you down the road. And then it just disappears. I have heard it said, if it catches you, something bad will happen to you, but it never caught me, or anyone that I personally know. But I have seen the light, as have other people I know, and there was never another car on the road to account for the light.
Another interesting thing about the area is, down one of the side roads off Tram Road is Heartbeat Bridge, where one some nights, if you park on the bridge, you can hear a heartbeat. Legend has it, a young girl was raped and murdered there, and the killer cut out her heart and threw it off the bridge.
