Two-Dimensional Dogman

I've just read about the horned man in the young man's bedroom and was amazed to have had a similar experience. However, what I encountered was a very tall (about 6'6" / 7' tall) apparition of what I can only describe as a two-dimensional sort of dogman. It had height and width, and most curious of all, its body shape was in angles – a man's body but with a large dog/wolf's head.

I just woke up on my parents settee (I was going to work, and my heavily pregnant sister and her husband had the spare room). I switched off the alarm clock, went to the toilet, then lay back down on the settee for an extra five minutes. I went to grab a cigarette when, through the now open door, it sort of stumbled into the room, looked left, then it slowly turned its head toward me. My mouth was wide open. I was honestly shi***g myself by now. This thing looked straight at me, then started to walk toward where I was lying, but it moved in a clockwork sort of way. When it stopped and leaned toward me, that's when I managed to let out a huge shout. That seemed to unnerve it and it took several steps back and disappeared out the door where it came from.

I would like to add that I am a professional man, don't take any drugs, moderate drinker, don't really smoke much either. I don't really think I have seen any ghosts before, but here's the totally crazy part: This experience happened in April 1994. In August '96, I stayed with quite a successful artist in London. She showed me some of her work, and there in front of me was a quite normal everyday scenario painting with a dark gray "dogman" painted into the picture, dated April '94! When she saw how aghast I was and could see the amazement, she simply said, "Oh, you've seen it too?" Still to this day, no explanation.
