Your True Tales Day of Blessings Several years ago, I had a most unusual day. I was beginning to doubt the existence of God because of the many bad things that were happening in my life. On that day, I was in my daughter's room cleaning, and suddenly her clothes fell down in her closet, and I could see that the rod just needed a washer and a little fixing to stay up. So, thinking about this, I went to the car to go get one from the store, even though I had very little money. There was a shiny washer just sitting on the ground next to my car door. It was just the right size. I fixed the rod, and began thinking about supper for my children. We were very poor, and I was always having to scrabble to make a decent life for them. So I took my last bit of money and headed for the grocery store. At the corner, just as I was going to pull into the parking lot, there was a paper bag just sitting there. I sent my child to look, as I was embarrassed to, and he came back with a full bag of food! After a grateful supper, I went to the laundromat to dry some clothes (I had to wash them in the bathtub). I was putting the clothes into the dryer when I felt a warm breeze, and a five dollar bill rolled at my feet! There was no one else there. Since that time, I have always been thankful for the many blessings in my life, which still continue today, and I will never forget to thank the angels that worked through God in my behalf that day, and every day since. < Previous story | Next story >
