Ghost Grabbed My Neck
by Mandy
I recently went on a family vacation with my mother and father to Charleston, South Carolina. Before I start off with my encounter, I will make it perfectly clear that before this happened I did NOT believe in ghosts.
My father and I decided to go on a local ghost tour that began at around 10:45 p.m. or so. At first I was very into in the stories the tour guide was telling us, but then I began to lose interest. About half an hour into the tour, we went through an alleyway that was supposedly the scene of a murder that took place in the mid-1700s.
We got to the middle of the dark and musty alley... and all of a sudden I felt a brute force hit my neck, almost like something had been forced against it. Needless to say, this scared me, but thought at first it was my dad playing a trick on me... until I turned around and he was on the other side of the group intently listening to the carrying ons of the guide. After having listened to the guide's interpretation of the events that had taken place here, I was shocked. The man that had died there was slashed across the neck! I have no idea whether this is a coincidence or an encounter with a poltergeist. But nonetheless it has made me believe in the supernatural.
