A Little Girl's Visit
by Ruth Graber

I live in a house that was built when the Goodyear Tire Company was built in Akron, Ohio for their employees. In December of 2002, I was up at 3:00 a.m. to feed my newborn granddaughter. I was walking out of my kitchen with the baby bottle, into my dining room, and I saw my youngest daughter, Breezy, who was 14 years old at the time, standing against the wall of the dining room, toward the living room. I asked her what she was doing out of bed at that time of night and why was she wearing flowered shorts and a striped shirt instead of her pajamas.

She didn't answer me, so I walked closer to her to give her a nudge back to bed and she looked up at me and I realized that it wasn't even my daughter! It was a little girl about 7-8 years old with short, brown, very wavy hair. And in an instant, she disappeared in a sort of misty air into my wall. I was totally shocked; it took my breath away, but I wasn't afraid at all.

Ever since that incident, I can hear this little girl playing in my dining room. She opens up my cabinet doors under my window and slams them shut... I can hear her walking around in my dining room, too. The only thing I can think of why she concentrates in my dining room is maybe her toys were kept in these little cupboards that she plays with now.

The Blanket-Hog Ghost

Another quick story I have is... One morning in March of 2003 around 2:30-3:00 a.m. when my husband was sleeping upstairs in our bedroom, in Akron, Ohio, his blankets were pulled off of him. He woke up and scolded me for taking all of the covers. He covered himself back up and drifted off to sleep. A few moments later, the same thing happened. He sat up in bed to wake me up so I would stop stealing his blankets and I wasn't even in the room with him. He was in bed all alone and I was downstairs on the computer doing some research for work. My husband came down the stairs like something was running after him. He asked me if I had come upstairs to get any blankets and of course I told him no. That's when I told him my story of the little girl and said our house was haunted. He definitely is a believer now.
