Near-Life Experience

This happened to me around the time I was 19 years old. At this point in my life, I was suffering from depression and severe sadness. There were times when I felt it would be better off if I were not here on this Earth at all. Needless to say that suicide often crossed my mind.

One night while I was sleeping, I had the most vivid dream – so real that it had brought tears to my eyes, which I still had upon waking up. (I call it a dream although I truly believe that I was in another place or realm that I just can't explain.) In this dream, I encountered my grandmother, who passed on when I was 11 years old. In this dream we embraced and hugged, a feeling so real I can still feel the presence to this day. She informed me that I should stop feeling the way I was, that my life would get better – she promised this to me. She also said that everyday she wishes that she could be here with us, my mother, sister, etc. and that I am lucky to be here with them... never wish that I wasn't. We then hugged and said good-bye.

After waking up, I shared the dream with only my sister. Years later, maybe seven or eight, I was in a session with a psychic who also channeled the departed. She started bringing up my past and my depression and then mentioned and described, to a tee, my grandmother who she said came to me in a dream. Now with no one except me and my sister knowing this, she went on to say that my grandmother told her that she intervened in what she called a near-life experience and saved my life with her message. And, that still to this day, my grandmother is with me, watching out for me.

I truly believe that my grandmother reached out and helped me. She let me know she was with me and that I needed to be here, my life was important and worth living. From that day on, I had a changed perspective on my life, which I did learn to love and appreciate. All I know is that I saw and felt her and that day totally changed me and my life. Thank you, Grandma. I love you always.
