Rainbow Family Ghosts
by Kevin S.

I was a very skeptical person who does not believe in many unexplained things. I have come to believe that something very strange is going on in my house.

It all started several years ago when my son (now 12) said he saw a child running around the house and then disappeared. He only told my wife, who basically laughed at him. A few weeks later, my daughter (now 6) saw a child come out of her brother's bedroom and was so scared she was crying and would not leave my wife's side for days.

A few days later, my wife saw a child next to her in the kitchen. It disappeared as soon as she saw it from her peripheral vision. My wife did not tell anyone about her experience nor about my daughter's experience. Then my oldest son saw a child a few more times, and he spoke to everyone in the family and said he saw a boy about his age. (His brother, our middle child, has never seen anyone yet.)

My daughter says she thought it was a girl with short hair, and named her Rainbow. Soon even I began seeing "Rainbow," usually when my children were not around ! I thought I was going crazy ! My wife has seen Rainbow several more times, and two of my kids have seen Rainbow so many times they have accepted "her or him" as part of the family. Now, my daughter claims there is a whole Rainbow family! She swears that there are at least five of them, and she never has lied to us about anything. We have quizzed her over and over, but her story never changes. She may have an overactive imagination, but that does not explain how three other people in the family constantly see Rainbow, nor does it explain why one of my kids has never seen Rainbow.

We purchased the house in 1997. The house was built in 1871. "Rainbow" appears to me when my kids are not there. My wife sees rainbow from the side. My son has seen Rainbow (he insists its a boy) so many times he has grown bored with it. My daughter thinks it is so cool that she sees "Rainbow" and its family.
