Mom's Shining Visit
by angelbeliever

You might be skeptical reading my story, but it is absolutely true. After seeing some of the more scary items listed on your web page, I am so very thankful about the visit I received.

It was almost two weeks after my mother passed away in May 1983 from cancer. I had prayed to God right after her passing to give me proof that our mother was okay. What I experienced was so blessed and beautiful that two weeks later the memories of it are still very detailed with me today.

I was 19 years old at the time. It was about 10:00 a.m. and I was on the phone with my mother's sister. I was sitting on a couch in the front living room listening as my aunt talked to me. The front living room door was open to let the sunshine and fresh air inside. I began to feel a melancholy feeling, longing for mom as I listened to my aunt speaking. Remember, this was just 10 days to two weeks after her funeral.

Then slowly in front of me, about 15 feet away, I saw a beautiful angel appear. It stood about 7-8 feet tall. It was the most beautiful, pure, soft, brilliant white light and had an aura of brilliant gold around it. It's shape was more oval. I didn't see wings or a face or anything like that. It was just oval, but the peace it gave me I cannot even describe here. Everything was silent. I would estimate it stayed in my presence approximately 7-10 seconds, then slowly faded away, disappearing last in the center. I had forgotten at this time that I was on the phone with my aunt. It was really as if I had forgotten about my physical surroundings and my aunt's voice. I really didn't hear her speaking until the angel had completely disappeared.
