The Spirit's Domain

This took place in the summer of 2000 in the city of Moreno Valley, California at a friend's home, which is located in front a field with a dirt road leading to the house. Two of my buddies, Mike and Victor, and I went to visit a friend of ours who lived out in Moreno Valley. That friend, we'll just call him Peter, was home alone with his sister Jane and her friend Mary. We went up to there to party with them. You know, to drink up and smoke pot. The first night we were there, it was about 2 a.m. when we were hanging out inside the living room drinking Coronas. Mary went out to have a cig in front of the home and I had to pee bad so I went to pee on the side of the home. I finished and went back inside the home leading Mary who was coming along right behind me.
Right when we got inside through the front door, Mary said she heard a girl's voice saying, "Come on" behind her. Me and a buddy right away went outside to look and saw nothing, since there was nothing but a dirt road and field in sight. But right when I turned around to go back inside, I heard whispers all around me, ranging from 2-10 feet for about two seconds. I thought I was crazy and said nothing to my friend yet. A few seconds later, when we got inside the front door, I could tell something was wrong by the look on my friend's face -- kind of like a puzzled look. So I asked him, "You heard it too, right?" He said yea. So right there we both went back outside and looked in every direction and saw nothing.
The next night around 10 p.m. was another night of drinking with the same crowd. Mary and I got bored, so we decided to go outside to look at the stars. There was a tree in front of the home. We climbed the tree then jumped on the roof and just sat there stargazing. After about five minutes, this weird streak of light, which looked like mist and lightning, appeared like 6 feet in front of us, hovering above the side of the home. We ignored it the first time it appeared, thinking it must be some sort of night fly. But then it appeared again and this time it came closer and started to change form into an orb the size of a bowling ball.
I knew then that it wasn't a fly and without reason my heart just started pounding rapidly. I looked at Mary and she looked frightened as well. This ball of light disappeared and appeared with streaks of misty light following it. After like 6 seconds of seeing this thing that wouldn't go away, we got off the roof as fast as possible.
My friends and I left that night. I got home and my heart wouldn't stop pounding. I was so scared I thought I was going crazy, so I slept in my parents' room on the floor. I tried to sleep but couldn't... and then all of a sudden, I saw the same ball of light appear near the ceiling of my parents' room, hovering. I hid under my blankets in terror and somehow managed to fall asleep.
I awoke the next day, still in a state of shock, with my heart pounding fast as ever. I told my father what I happened and then he told me to bring some incense and go back to my friend's home where I saw the the strange ball of light. He told me to light up the incense and say a prayer to the spirit to let it know that I apologize for intruding the spirit's domain. I did just that and my heart rate and sanity become normal again within a few days.
