The Mysterious Phrase
At 1:10 a.m., I awoke with a start. I instantly knew that something had fallen. I don't know how I knew, I just was aware of it and said so to my husband, Maurice. He woke up slowly and seemed rather groggy. I told him I heard a noise and was sure something had fallen. We both got up. I looked in the main bathroom and saw that my makeup bag, which had been resting on the side of the sink, had fallen to the floor and scattered the contents. I knew at once that was the cause of the sound, so we turned around and went back to bed. We lay down again and my husband said he was just in the middle of a dream when I awoke him. He said somebody was saying something about a _______ ______. (I left the words blank because we were not certain of the exact words.) I said, "Really? So was I!" The phrase that we had both heard in our dreams was one that we don't normally use, so I was quite surprised to hear that he had been dreaming of it also. My husband fell asleep rather quickly and was quietly snoring. I lay there for over an hour thinking of what could have prompted both of us to experience the same phrase in a dream state. In the morning, I asked my husband what the two words were that we both remembered from our dreams. He couldn't think of them, but realized that we had experienced something most unusual.

I began asking him about his dream, and the only thing he could remember was that it was a male speaking to him. I asked if he had dark or light hair, because I, too, had a man in my dream who said the same two words. He replied, "Dark hair." I asked him to describe what he looked like and he replied that he couldn't recall facial features. I recall a male, someone I was looking down to as he was speaking. He was a good-looking man with dark, shiny hair - not just healthy shiny, almost a plastic shiny. He was dressed in a business suit and had a pleasant look on his face. I don't know if I was sitting on a tall chair or whether he was just shorter than I was, but I was definitely looking down on him when he spoke to me. During the weekend, we spoke from time to time about the event and thought it most unusual. We tried several times to remember the two-word phrase that was last spoken to us in the dreams, but were unable to come up with it. Finally, we went through the dictionary and together clearly remembered the word "pervasive." I kept thinking the second word was a shorter one, and we both went back to the dictionary where we finally agreed that the word was "access." It seemed to make complete sense at the time, but it certainly doesn't fit into our normal vocabulary. I don't know what happened that night, but it certainly was out of the ordinary. -  Gerry P.

Seeing My Day
For years now I have been able to "see" what my day is going to be like. It started when I was married the first time. My husband was physically abusive, but not every day. Over time, I got to where the moment I woke up I would know if I was going to get a beating that day or he was going to be "nice." He slept much later than I did, so it wasn't as if I was just judging his mood. Now, 14 years later, I am in a good marriage. But I will know if I am going to have a pleasant day with my children, if I am going to have a disagreement with my husband, trouble with finances, etc. I have also had dreams that give me valuable information. For instance, our washer was not working properly, and we were not in a good position financially to hire an appliance repairman. I was really stressing about this because I have a large family and the laundry was getting out of control. One night I had a dream that told me exactly what was wrong with the washer and how to fix it. The next morning I told my husband about my dream. I then wrote down what was wrong with the washer so we could determine after we looked at it if I was right. Keep in mind I have never even looked at the back of my washer or dryer. My husband pulled the washer away from the wall, and to his surprise, I was 100% right. Another time, I had a dream that my best friend's husband was in the early stages of colon cancer. She called me the very next morning and told me her husband had been ill the last few days. I hesitantly told her my dream and convinced her to have him checked out. After all, what could having it checked out hurt. Sure enough, he was in the very first stages of colon cancer. It was caught early enough to be able to provide him with a complete recovery. I don't know why I know these things, but they do not scare me. I believe all people have this ability, they just may not pay as much attention to it. - Gracie In Red

Horrifying Ouija Experience
It all started at a slumber party at my friend Kimberly's house. We decided to play Ouija in her basement. Once we started playing, it was a lot of fun. We were accusing each other of moving the board, but it was still fun. After about one hour, we contacted this spirit called "Freder."

These noises were heard around three o'clock in the morning and the spirit was screwing around with our imaginations. Then my other three friends at the party and I were all starting to see things. After a while, we got really freaked, so we all went under the covers. We had a TV behind us and the remote was on the couch in front of us. Suddenly, the TV went on! Everyone was so scared that we all went upstairs. It was a foggy night. We could hardly see anything, but out of nowhere we saw a shape of a body standing far away. Don't ask what it was; it just freaked us all out so much. -  Katie
