There had always been tales circulating locally that strange sounds like the tinkling of bells had been heard coming from the woods. Some folk even recalled seeing fleeting figures from the corner of their eye as they walked the woodland paths.
Being a complete skeptic, I laughed these stories off and dismissed them as folklore, until early one morning I set out with my camera to take some photos of the bluebells. As I approached this particular spot, I noticed the complete quietness -- no birds or any other of the normal sounds one associates with nature.
Then, suddenly, I became aware of strange feeling. I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck prickling and the air seemed to be charged with electricity. The bluebells looked magnificent in the early morning light, so I raised my camera to capture the beautiful image. Just at that moment, I thought I caught sight of a figure sitting among the flowers. No, just my imagination. I was sure of that. Then I went home to edit my photographs!
