This was posted on a message board that I am a member of. The photo was leaked from the genetic research laboratory of an international agribusiness company. Apparently, they were trying to increase the protein content of apples by splicing human genes into them. You can see the result for yourself.
But the creepiest part of this story is this: A week after this was posted, the member who posted it disappeared from the board. We then heard from a relative of his that he was killed in a hit-and-run incident by a car without number plates. When his family appointed a private investigator to try to solve the mystery, the P.I. worked for only a day before he called them to say he had to quit, "for personal reasons." He sounded scared and nervous, and the next day two very unpleasant-looking men, dressed in black, arrived at the family's home and made all manner of veiled threats if they were to try to continue the investigation.
