These events happened over a long period of time. It all started a couple of months or so after we moved into our new house. I was around 9 or so and my older sister was around 14. We lived on the third and second floor of our new house. The third floor consisted of four rooms: my parents' room all the way to the left of the floor, my room, and my little sister's next to it, my older sister's room next to that, and the bathroom in the corner of her room.
At first we were fine with the room arrangements -- that is, until my sister had run screaming from her room one night hysterical and crying to my mom about some man she saw at the door of the bathroom. My mom checked the bathroom and there was no one there. She assured my sister that it was probably the lights of the cars outside reflecting off the mirror onto the bathroom door, or something like that.
My sister calmed down for the time being, until the second incident. My sister had coming running again from the room saying the man was there again, only this time he was writing on the door with what looked like blood. Again my mom had gone over to the door and saw nothing and no one.
After awhile, my sister decided to occupy the spare room we had down on the second floor as her new bedroom. I, wanting to be independent, took her old room.
Now I never saw the man, but there was one time where I swear I will never forget. I remember it as clearly as it was yesterday. My mom was watching TV in her room, as always, and my little sister had fallen asleep. I had wrapped myself up in my blanket and was trying to fall asleep, but i wasn't tired.
I closed my eyes for about three seconds when all of a sudden out of nowhere, I heard a little girl's voice talking to me, as if she were whispering in my ear. That made me pop my eyes open and freeze where I was. I was probably white as a sheet. I didn't understand what she said, but my heart was beating super fast and I was trying to fathom what that could've been.
I could hear the TV far away and my little sister was fast asleep, and I know I wasn't dreaming because I had barely even shut my eyes. After hearing that voice, I just went under my sheets and kept very still for the rest of the night. I did not want to move at all.
Since then we've moved from the third floor to the first, and we never had another encounter again.
