Good investigation
One of the best things about the video is that Dr. Jimmy and his crew show us how a good, serious ghost investigation should be conducted. They explain the procedures, how the team protects itself from potentially malevolent spirits, and how they analyze the evidence in the form of video, still photos and audio recordings.
What to they find? Peculiar manifestations on photos, moving "energy balls" on video – and some clear and genuinely chilling EVPs.
Better than Ghost Hunters
I highly recommend this DVD program for anyone curious about ghosts and hauntings, but especially for those who are interested in the techniques and procedures for level-headed, no-nonsense ghost hunting. The A.P.S.R. team investigates cautiously and carefully, then meticulously pores over the dozens of photos, and the hours and hours of audio and video footage. When they find an anomaly, rather than blindly accepting it, they try first to find a rational explanation. Sometimes there isn't one.
In my opinion, for would-be ghost hunters, this DVD is far more instructional, honest and valuable than the Ghost Hunters TV show ever was. There's no phony drama or inter-team conflicts to bear with – just good investigation.
