The following incident occurred during the late 1960s in central Florida at the testing laboratory were I worked. Two of us witnessed this event: Gene Z and I.
The two of us were in a small laboratory discussing the expected move to a much larger building. This room was about 25 feet long by 6 feet wide (desks and work benches were along both walls) and it was only wide enough for one person to walk through. At the end of the room, to the right, was an even smaller storage closet.
The two of us were sitting diagonal from each other when we saw Eloise S. walk between the two of us and enter the storage room (about 4 x 6 feet). We looked at each other and Gene Z remarked, "That was Eloise!" After a few minutes when she did not come out, I looked into the storage room: no Eloise! This room had a sink and exhaust fan at one end and a small storage cabinet on the other. There was no other exit except back the way she entered.
Thinking that something must have happened to Eloise, I went over to the X-ray laboratory where she working. She had been in the darkroom most of the morning, but was wearing the same blue dress that we saw earlier. I asked her if she was ok and I told her that we saw someone that looked like her walk by and enter the storage room. She indicated that nothing out of the ordinary happened all morning.
The next week, Gene was unable to recall any details of the incident. Note: the laboratory had at one time been a funeral parlor!
