Saved by Grandmother's Ghost

My weird paranormal experience occurred in July of 2005 in Spring Creek, Nevada. I had fallen sick from West Nile Fever and had been home in bed for the past couple of days, sleeping about 16 hours a day and trying to fight off a 103-degree fever.

Suddenly, I awoke and four black-hooded figures entered my bedroom and positioned themselved at each of the four corners of my bed. (At that time, I had never heard of black-hooded figures.) Oddly, I was not frightened, but more curious and surprised. The black-hooded robes completely covered them; I could not make out any facial features, just a black, empty void. They all stood there for a minute or two and seemed to be conversing, but I did not hear any sound. The hooded being to the left and front of my bed seemed to be in charge and was pacing impatiently back and forth, and I got the impression that it was waiting for someone else. Then I saw what it was waiting for: another hooded figure, this time dressed in a bright white hood with tiny black dots.

This white-hooded figure came floating down into the room through the ceiling and alit at the foot of the bed. The black-hooded figure in charge seemed to be upset and apparently said something to the the white-hooded figure (which I did not hear). The white-hooded figure in a feminine voice said, "Don't worry, he's going to be just fine" (which I did hear). The white-hooded figure then pulled the covers off of my legs and did something to my right lower leg. It felt like she went inside my lower leg and put something in one of my veins. She then said, "That ought to do it," and then floated up over me.

It was then that the dark void obscuring her face cleared and I saw her face. It was my long-departed grandmother. Interestly, she appeared to be in her 40s and was wearing red lipstick and no glasses, but I recognized her immediately. She gave me a big smile and then floated up through the ceiling and disappeared. Immediately, the four black-hooded figures marched smartly out of the room, through the same opening that they had first entered and disappeared.

Through this entire event, I was never frightened and now that it ended I felt comforted and believed that I was going to make it. I fell back to sleep and when I awoke a few hours later my fever was down and I felt like I had turned the corner. I then checked my right leg, but saw nothing. Because I am by vocation a scientist (meteorologist), I am used to dealing with physical data and real facts, and this paranormal event really threw me for a loop. I wondered: Did this event really happen or was it a fever-induced hallucination? I cannot prove that it happened, but in my heart, I believe that what I just related did truly happen. Somehow my deceased grandmother crossed over and saved my life.
